I started Meridex because I kept running into the same wall from both sides of it. A GIS masters and a thesis on public participation and stakeholder engagement taught me how powerful spatial data is — and how badly the tools serve the people who actually need to act on it.

Then I saw it in the field: at the Esri Saudi user conference, where customers openly resisted “upgrades” that made their work harder, and inside operating companies like Yeep, drowning in driver and route data with no way to turn it into decisions. The data was there. The analyst wasn’t. The tools assumed one.

Meridex is the platform I wanted to exist: AI-native, multilingual, built in the region generating the most spatial data on earth right now — so any team can build a real GIS application from their own data, by describing what they need. I’m building it from Riyadh, and assembling a founding team to build it with me.
